Obituary

Henry Albert Knighton, known as Frank, was born to the late Henry R. Knighton and Victoria D. Knighton on February 5th 1935.
Frank was educated in the Philadelphia public school District where he graduated. At the age of 22 Frank enlisted in the United States Army where he served 2 years before receiving an Honorable discharge. In 1978 he met the love of his life Victoria D.Boggs Knighton whom preceded him in death. Although they did not have any children of their own they both took on all of their nieces and nephews as their own. (Much love).
Frank worked in Environment Services for 10 years at Jefferson West Park branch where he retired. Frank was a great artist and a vivid storyteller. He would sit for hours and tell his stories to whomever would listen most of the time we all did. He would make you laugh for hours with most of his stories.
Upon the death of his wife the responsibilities for caring for him was taken on by his loving god-daughter Tashena Boggs. She was by his side from the day her aunt (niece) passed away until the day God came and gave him his wings. I know her Auntie is looking down on her saying GREAT JOB I knew you could do it.
Henry leaves to mourn: his 2 wonderful godchildren, Tashena Boggs (niece) and David McKenzie (nephew); his nephews, Cyree Boggs Sr., Jeffrey Boggs and Rasheed Boggs; 2 great nieces, Aubrey Boggs (Sugga Baby) and Cyarah Boggs; mother-in-law, Lichi Boggs; 5 sisters-in-law, Phyllis Boggs Ferguson (Alan) of Delaware, Kimberly Boggs of Philadelphia, Carolyn Boggs Smith (Rudy) of North Carolina, Alicia Boggs of Philadelphia, Monique Stone of Philadelphia and Cecile Kase of Philadelphia; 4 brothers-in-law, Henry Boggs Jr. of Philadelphia, Derrick Boggs (Jackie), Darnell Stone of Philadelphia and Eddie Stone of Philadelphia; a very special niece, Malika Wells Boggs; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Sorrowfully, The family
