Obituary

SHARLENE HOPE DELOACH lovingly known as "Shar" was born on January 20, 1981, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to James Deloach and Darelene E. Powell. Sharlene has two sisters Renee Jones and Sherina Shaw, three brothers, James DeLoach Jr., Jermain Burch, and Maurice DeLoach.

Shar attended Roxborough High School where she graduated in June 2002 and received her High School Diploma. After high school, she did some modeling, and she worked a few part-time jobs.

Shar lived with her mother and the two were best friends, she loved her mother dearly. The two of them did everything together. They went on many outings, Shar loved her weekends because they ordered out and watched movies. Sharlene was amazing at brightening her mother's day. She had such a warming spirit that would bring her mother comfort on a daily basis.

Shar accepted Christ at an early age. She attended New Gethsemane Baptist Church at917 E. Chelten Ave., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Shar had a passion singing for the Lord, or for any and everyone who would listen to her or didn't listen to her. Shar would sing a song even if she didn't know the words. She would hum to the tune or make up her own words.

At a young age, Shar sang with the older women in the church choir. They loved her and thought she would be a great fit for their choir. Shar enjoyed being spoiled and loved by the women in the choir.

Shar loved giving out hugs, shopping, listening to music, going to different restaurants, and spending time with her family, especially her favorite cousin Janice. Within the last few years of her life Janice was intentional on bringing excitement into Shars life. By taking her on trips to New York City, New Jersey and Maryland; getting hair done, throwing surprise parties, and shopping all just to put a smile on Shar's face and to ensure she was surrounded by love, family and excitement. Every so often, Jancie would suggest going to Red Lobster and Shar would light up, because it's one of Shar's favorite restaurants, she enjoyed going to Red Lobster with her late-father. Red lobster was special to her because of the fond memories she had of spending Daddy & Daughter time with him.

Sharlene is survived by her mother Darlene, four siblings: Renee, Sherina, James, and Maurice. Four Aunties: Diane, Cloria, Cecilia, Bernice. Two Uncles: Clyde and Jimmy Deloach, and a host of nieces, and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
