SARAH L. WRIGHT was born December 26, 1934 in Williamsburg, S.C to the late Florie and Lawrence Jackson. Sarah was raised in Salters, SC then moved to Florida as a young teen where she met the late Willie Wright and they later relocated to Detroit Michigan. Later on in life they moved to Philadelphia , PA, where they were happily married for 52 years.     Sarah was a homemaker, nurse, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and she cherished everyone that was a part of her life. Sarah was a willing worker in her home, she greeted everyone with a kind word followed by a plate of food. Cooking and sewing were a few of her passions but most importantly was her love for the lord and family.  Sarah was a devoted worker at Devon Manor for many years where she retired. She became a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church then later joined Ezekiel Baptist where she served faithfully on the usher board until she couldn't any longer due to her decline in health.  Sarah leaves to cherish her memories: two daughter, Jerri Wright of Philadelphia, PA and Carolyn Young (George Gunther)  of Collingswood, NJ; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 28 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all loved her dearly.  Sarah was preceded in death by husband, Willie Wright; daughter, Sharon Henderson; two sisters, Margaret Snowden and Ada Jones; brother, Prince Jackson; grandchildren, Gregory Wright and Carol Young; and great grandsons, Hakeem Bryant and Dehaven Henderson.  Sadly, Sarah's mission here on earth was complete when God called her home with the angels on July 26, 2022.
