Robin Patricia Bost-Pearson was born on November 6, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at General Hospital. She was the seventh child to the late Mary Louise White-Elmore, the fourth child to the late Marybelle Bunch-Bost, and to her late father Leonard Carl Bost Sr., all of whom preceded her in death.

Robin met her childhood sweetheart, Leo Chris Pearson, who was born in Bronx, New York, and came to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to live with his father Fred Pearson and Ms. Edna in South Philadelphia at the age of 8. Chris met Robin when she was 9 years old, attending church with her mother, Marybelle Bost. They stayed together through the years, with young Chris often staying at Marybelle's house on 52nd and Delancey Street (better known as "D-Block") to attend church with Robin and her family.

Their love grew into their teenage years, and they married at the ages of 18 and 19. Chris enlisted in the U.S. Army to provide stability for their young family, which included their first son, Christopher ("Burley"). During his military service, Robin and Chris had two more children: Travis ("Chicken Neck") and Leonard III ("Poopie"). Chris was honorably discharged to better provide for his family, working as a sous chef at Houlihan's and as a carpenter.

Robin was a devoted and protective mother, also raising her two nieces, Iyana ("Yana") and Horesha ("Resha"), and her nephew, Horace Reynolds ("Yu-Yu"), as her own. In December 1993, tragedy struck when Chris passed away. Robin, though devastated, continued raising her six children alone and never remarried. She was deeply family-oriented, known for her cooking—especially feeding neighborhood children—and her compassion for others. She loved the Lord, dancing, singing, traveling with family, and more than could be captured in words.

Robin attended Huey Elementary, Melvin G. Syre, and Shaw Middle School before graduating from West Philadelphia High School. She earned her driver's license at 17 and never received a moving violation in 65 years. Her first job was as a lifeguard at the West Philadelphia YMCA, where she also worked as a security officer. Recognizing her calling to care for others, she attended Benjamin Franklin Institute, graduating as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1989. She worked at Philadelphia Geriatric Center for over 10 years, then Bala Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and later Mary Drexel Nursing Home until her retirement in 2010.

Robin was a nurturing, passionate, and God-fearing woman—a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, godmother, aunt, sister, daughter, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Chris Pearson ("Big Chris"); maternal brothers William Elmore ("June"), Theodore Elmore, Robert Elmore Sr. ("Uncle Rob"); and paternal brothers Luther Bost and Archie Bost Sr.

She is survived by maternal brother Tyrone E. Lee ("Uncle Ty"); sisters Lorraine Elmore-Venney and Theresa Elmore-Shepperson; paternal brother Leonard Carl Bost Jr.; children Christopher Lee Bost ("Burley"), Travis Bost ("Chicken Neck"), Leonard Carl Bost III ("Poopie"), Horace Reynolds ("Yu-Yu"), Iyana Pearson ("Yana"), and Horesha Reynolds ("Resha"); grandchildren Ryshawn Cromer, Dariaye Mitchell, Camirah Muhfooth, Bilah Taylor ("Son"), and Kalanni Nabre Landers-Bost ("Moody"); and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, godchildren, cousins, and friends.
