Quinyon Khalil Mays was born on August 15, 1994, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Lonnie Dawson, Jr. and Tennile Coley. From a young age, Quinyon demonstrated a commitment to service that would define his life. He answered that calling first by serving honorably in the United States Army, and later as a Public Safety Officer at a local university — a role that allowed him to protect and serve his community every day.

Quinyon's life, though far too brief, was one of purpose, courage, and care for others. On March 8, 2026, he was called home, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. He is greatly missed by his family and friends, who will carry his memory and spirit forward always.
