Michelle Castor, lovingly called Nano or Tati Nano by her loved ones and nieces and nephews, and Mom by her daughters, was born on February 22, 1962, in Haiti. She passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Philadelphia, PA, after bravely fighting pancreatic cancer. If you knew
Michelle, you knew she didn't just walk into a room—she lit it up. She lived by the saying Lavise yon kado (Life is a gift) and made every moment matter.

Michelle was a devoted and loving mother to her four daughters: Marsha Faugue, Shannon Faugue, Chelsey Michelle Castor, and Sagina Toussaint. She was also a cherished sister, aunt, and friend. Her unique spirit shone through in her warmth, energy, and the happiness she brought to everyone she met.

Michelle was fun, outgoing, and full of energy. She was sassy, bold, and always spoke her mind. She lived true to herself and never worried about what others thought. Her eldest daughter said it best: "I loved my mom's unwavering spirit. She was a hustler, a go-getter... she would always tell me to stand on business—and that's what I loved about her." Michelle encouraged everyone to be themselves. Her humor and energy made people around her feel alive.

One of Michelle's youngest daughters shared that what she cherished most were their long, heartfelt conversations about life. In her words: "Any random sit-down that we had in the living room or kitchen that lasted hours." These moments of connection and open conversation were a
testament to Michelle's warmth and the special bond she shared with her children. Her vibrant personality showed in her favorite sayings. Her famous mantra, "You go girl," and her playful greeting, "What's up, girl?" were always shared with warmth and sincerity, making
everyone feel seen and loved. These words were Michelle's way of spreading joy and connection wherever she went.

Michelle was fiercely devoted to family, serving as a linchpin who kept everyone connected. She made it a priority to stay in touch with family and friends near and far, from as far south as Florida to as far north as Laval, Quebec, Canada, ensuring her family felt her presence and her
love. She deliberately ensured her daughters knew all their aunts, uncles, and cousins by making family time—holidays, summers, and festive occasions—a consistent priority. Michelle's home and heart were open to all; she would give the shirt off her back or the last morsel of rice she had to improve someone's quality of life. She offered support to relatives transitioning from other countries or simply trying to get on their feet.

Michelle's caring nature reached beyond her family. She was passionate about helping others and serving her community. As a Certified Nurse's Aide, she worked long hours providing in-home healthcare, showing her strong work ethic and desire to help those in need. She also loved
cooking for her loved ones, putting creativity and generosity into every meal.

Michelle is survived by her four daughters: Marsha Faugue, Shannon Faugue, Chelsey Michelle Castor, and Sagina Toussaint; twelve siblings; and her four brothers: Jean Daniel Castor, Serge Castor, Arsene Castor, and Jean Robert Castor, as well as many nieces and
nephews.

She was a social butterfly, a determined hustler, a generous soul, and the boldest woman many have known. Her light, laughter, and love will live on in everyone who was touched by her spirit. Because these were Michelle's favorite last words, as she would insist, we leave you with her
