Obituary

Michael Anthony Ginns was born to the late Janie Lee Ginns and to the late John Lee Murchison on July 11, 1972 in Philadelphia PA. He was the youngest boy of six children. He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system, where he graduated from Bok Vocational high school in 1990. Michael accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age. He believed in his hour of sickness, that the Lord Jesus Christ was with him. He received lots of spiritual and guidance through his closest friends and family. He also had a very special bond with his only child Justice Brown. For many years he worked between the Art Museum in Philadelphia as a cook and as a mail clerk at IVT also in Philadelphia. Michael (aka "Miz", as we knew him) enjoyed celebrating his life with close friends and family, where he was an excellent card player. He could be seen just about every weekend around a table playing cards or video games. He even continued to do this throughout his sickness until his final days. Mike fought a long and hard battle with his illness until he couldn't fight anymore. On July 28, 2021, The Lord Jesus Christ called Mike home. His fight was over and there was no more suffering. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Janie Lee Ginns; his father, John Lee Murchison; his brother, Anthony Ginns; two nephews, Hasan Murchison, and Anthony Ginns Jr., who all preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn: one son, Justice Brown; one brother, John Lee Murchison, Jr.; three sisters, Diane Murchison, Lucinda (Cyndie) Williams, and Danielle Ginns; nephews, Antoine Huff and Tymir Ginns; nieces, Sherese, Miles, Tatiana Moore and Taleah Ginns; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins and a "pack" of very close friends, who he considered his brothers for life. Miz will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
