Obituary

Mary Helen Bost was born on December 10, 1942, to the late Callie Belle Douglas and Elo Binner Odom in Shelby, North Carolina. She was the middle of three siblings (Robert Eli Douglas (Deceased) and Mary Hester Graham (Deceased). She received her education in the North Carolina Public School system then moved to Philadelphia where she continued her education at Peirce Jr. College and received her associate degree.

Mary Helen moved to Philadelphia, Pa. where she met and married Archie Lee Bost Sr and conceived 4 children: Fern Bost (Deceased), Rachelle Bost, Archie Bost, and Pamela Bost. In 1969, she met her life partner Alphonse Michael DiSanto Sr. (Deceased) and through this union Antoine Bost was born and Alphonse Michael DiSanto Jr. was united.

Mary Helen accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. She joined the Sharon Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pa. and rededicated her life and became a member.She worked in the finance industry in Securities & Trust for 43 years.

Mary Bost truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as; chatting with friends and family, spending time with her siblings, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed a good laugh over family antics.

She leaves to cherish her memories:Two daughters, Rachelle and Pamela Bost; three sons, Archie and Antoine Bost, Alphonse Michael DiSanto Jr (Katina), Special daughter-in-love Rochelle DiSanto. Fourteen grandchildren: Zekia Howard, Latosha Howard, Ezekiel Howard, Krystopher Bost, Lahmar Bost, Nafees Bost, Nykira Bost, Kennedy Barrow, Alay'na DiSanto, Autumn DiSanto, Alphonse DiSanto III, NyAsia Bost, Skylar DiSanto, Dominick DiSanto. Eleven great grandchildren Tanaysha Howard, Tysheim Maddow, Teyana Reed, Tayvon, Howard, Taniya Cooper, Tyzir Wooden, Tamari Wooden, Teagan Wooden, Ezekiel Howard Jr, Ezeria Howard, and Elliot Howard. Here Aunt Edna Douglas and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mary Helen will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the matriarch of our family, and her love and guidance will continue to resonate in our hearts. As we say farewell, let us remember her with love and gratitude for the profound impact she had on our lives.

Mary Helen Bost 81, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.She was surrounded and supported by her loving family all the days of her life.
