Obituary

LOUVENIA THOMAS was born on February 27, 1941 to Father, Ben Moses and Mother, Willie Mae Scarborough Moses in Bishopville, SC. Louvenia was the 3rd oldest of thirteen children, 5 sisters and 7 brothers. As a young child Lou starting her formal education in South Carolina and was working on her father's farm helping with picking cotton. Lou had her first child (Betty Ann) while living in South Carolina in 1958. She met her late husband, Henry Thomas prior to moving to Philadelphia to explore their next chapters in life. Within their union, Louvenia and Henry had 2 children, Willie Thomas in 1959 and Susie Thomas in 1961. Lou found employment at Stanley Blacker Inc. in the early 60's where she worked as a seamstress for over three decades while raising her children and holding down the household duties.

Louvenia was a very graceful host, a great cook, and a passionate card player. In her leisure time, Lou enjoyed hanging out with her sister Rosa spending quantity time and making memories at the casino.

After 81 years on earth, God reach out his hand to guided Lou to be by her daughters Betty and Sue side for internally rest.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Cherishing her memory now and forever is her: Son Will, brothers Sammie, George, Robert, and Willie; sisters Lillie, Mary, Rosa and Jennette. Grandkids Latanya, Braheem, Andrew and Christina; and host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
