Louis Collins passed away February 26, 2023 after a rewarding fulfilled life. Louis was 89.

Louis was born on October 13, 1934 to Dolly, who sadly passed away when Louis was just four years old. Louis was then raised by Florence.

When Louis turned 18, he enlisted in the U. S. Army, where his tour of duty included the Korean War Vet 1953. In the middle of his tour he returned back home to get his beloved Lillie of whom later became his wife of almost 60 years. Unfortunately Lillie passed in 2011. That was a difficult time for Louis, but he was a fighter. Louis continued to serve his country by joining the Philadelphia Police Force, where he worked for almost 30 years. He retired from the force achieving many awards. Louis fought hard, he was a fighter. He didn't just give for himself, but for his daughters, Regina, Latina, and Yvonne, his special friend, Georgia, his sister, Geneva and best friend, Gil. Louis doted on his grandson, David, whom he raised to be the man he is today.

Louis is survived by a large host of friends and family who adored, respected and he will be greatly missed. Louis experienced the lost of his beloved daughter, Latina, another difficult time in his life, yet he still fought to be there for others.
