Obituary

KEVIN KHARIF BENNETT GILLIARD also known as " Kayyo" , the eldest and only son was born on April 10, 1998 in Philadelphia, Pa. to Sharifah Gilliard and Kevin Bennett.

Kevin attended the Philadelphia Public School System graduating from Glen Mills School successfully receiving his diploma.

Kevin always kept his family first, became a protector, provider, and watched diligently over his little sisters. Being a proud big brother he would often step into the father figure role wanting the best for his sisters. He adored his mother so much one could even say he was a "momma's boy". His admiration of his mother made him very protective of all the women in his family. Kevin also had a special bond with his father whom he referred to as his best friend.

Kevin had a BIG heart of gold, always willing to help anybody in need whether he knew them or not. He also had a funny sense of humor making everybody laugh. Known for pulling pranks on people especially his girlfriend "Bey- Bey". His smile would lighten up the room.

Kevin was a gifted artist with a deep passion for music, spending numerous hours in the studio. His music is inspirational to others, it speaks of his life stories, trials, and tribulations. If you listen very closely, "Kayyo" told short stories.

Kevin, being raised by his grand-dad, the late Howard Gilliard developed a strong passion and love for dogs. Thus inspiring him to start a business which he named Howard Kennels LLC.

Kevin leaves to cherish his loving memories: Mother: Sharifah Earline Pearl Gilliard, Father: Kevin Dwight Bennett, Sisters: Cianie, Sanai, Shakyia, and Hasinah and one niece Azarha. Brother: Shareff Sampson who preceded him in death, Grandparents: Cynthia Gilliard- Parker, Tanya Bennett, Eugene Stokes, Kevin Warrington and the late Howard Earl Gilliard. Six Aunts: Taress, Dorothy, Stephanie, Ramira, Eshia, and "Momtie" Sherna. Seven Uncles: Earl "Musa", Calvin, Omar, Lavar, Jamal, Keith and the late Howard Hassan Gilliard and a host of cousins and loved ones.

Tashiyah aka "Bey-Bey", I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the woman you are. My son loves you! You was his world! His wife without the paperwork. I want you to know you have a forever home within my heart and two mothers forever.
