Kaylin
Johnson
Sep 8, 2004 — Jul 21, 2021
The Obituary KAYLIN JIHAD JOHNSON was born on September 8, 2004 to Emily Johnson. Kaylin or KJ as he was affectionately called by all, was educated in the Philadelphia School District where he indulged in various sports, including but not limited to Football, Basketball, Hockey, and Baseball. KJ loved spending time with his loved ones, making music and most of all making others happy. Although, dancing was not his strongest talent, KJ loved making dance videos with his twin, Kaiya. KJ always greeted whoever he came into contact with, with a warm smile, handshake or a hug. KJ was always overprotective of all the women in his family. He never left without telling his family and friends he loved them. KJ spent most of his younger days playing for the Overbrook Monarchs, where he created lifelong bonds with coaches and players. The Monarchs was an extended family to KJ. KJ was attending Boys' Latin where he excelled in both sports and academics. He maintained excellent grades in order to continue to play the sports he loved. KJ perfected everything he put his mind to. With the support of his mom, there was nothing he wouldn't try. From sports, acting, rapping & dirt bike riding, KJ did all & well. KJ leaves to cherish his precious memory, mother and best friend, Emily Johnson; aunts, Yvette Thomas, Shawneir Collier, Thembi Maiden, Jeanette Collier, and Tamika Joyner; Uncles, Darrell Thomas, Stanley Newell, and Keith Collier; Siblings, Kaiya Newell, Stanley Newell, Kaleah McDonald, Kymir McDonald, and Kayla McDonald ; cousins, Andre Collier, Ashley Thomas, Briana Thomas, Davontay Freeman, Keith McGriff, Kamira Collier, Subria Johnson, Byaan Collier, Kimora Jackson, Kennedy Collier, Kaden Collier, Belvin Smith, King Mack, Bailey Driggins, Abriya Thomas, and Zakiya Thomas; nephew, Kayden McDonald; godmothers, Alise Lassiter, Kori Price, and Rashida Johnson; godfather, Andre Saunders; bonus brothers, Kenneth Washington, Naamir Flowers, Kion Wright, Jacob Beccles, and Cyrus Watson; and a host of family and friends.
