Obituary

Joseph Hugh Hall, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. He was born from the union of the late Samuel and Myrtle Hall on February 13, 1941, in their home in Folly, Virginia. At an early age he accepted Christ as his personal Savior.

"Joe" as he was affectionately called by most who knew him received his education in the Northumberland County Public School System. Joe worked at Saks for many years until his well-deserved retirement.

Joe loved to garden while also sharing his skills and offering advice. He was a music lover, an avid reader and history enthusiast.

Joe's love for his family was paramount as evidenced by the many pictures that told stories of so much love. The annual Hall Family Reunion in Viriginia was a very special time for our family. The Hall Reunion was created by Joe and his siblings over 40 years ago to ensure that the family got together at least once a year, which was the foundation for our historic tradition. Everyone loved spending time catching up, seeing family and friends, taking day trips, enjoying fun filled activities and eating lots of great food. Joe was our certified Grill Master, sharing his culinary skills with a "Baby I got it", in other words "HE got it". Not to mention all the fresh fish he and his brothers cleaned for our weekend Fish Fry and morning breakfasts together. These beautiful memories will live on in many hearts.

In his heavenly home Joe will be joining his parents and siblings - Gerville, Kenneth, Marian, Garrison, Cynthia, Samuel, Oswald, and Yvonne; who preceded him in death.

Joe leaves to cherish many amazing memories: three sisters-in-law, Sarah, Frances and Marnie, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
