JONATHAN H. WALKER, 71 years old of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away on February 18, 2024 in Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital in his hometown of Philadelphia.

He was born on August 7, 1952, to his mother, Appalonia and father, Clement Walker in Philadelphia.

He was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. He graduated from Germantown High School and then attended Roger William and University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Jonathan was dedicated to his career of serving the youth of Philadelphia. He worked at the Children Aid Society in Philadelphia as a child care worker and then in the Philadelphia Youth Study Program as a counselor, then advancing at the agency to become a supervisor. He extended his love and support for children by participating in the Foster Care Program.

Jonathan will be deeply missed by his love ones and friends. He is survived by his ex-wife, Valida Walker; son, Jonathan N. Walker; daughter, Leisha Walker of Washington, DC and son, Nathan Walker of Philadelphia, PA, as well as his grandchildren, Cairo, Reine and Kamari Walker; his sisters, Anna Walker, Madeline Walker of Philadelphia, PA and Susan Price of Coatesville, PA and his niece, Staci Walker; nephew, Jason Walker; grand nieces, Anna Walker-Duncan and Amirah Fullard; uncle, T. Brooks of Providence, Rhode Island; and a host of friends and cousins in New Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Appalonia Walker; his brother, Clement Walker Jr.; sisters, Leona Wade and Adalaide Walker; great-grandmother, Ada Jenkins; and grandmother, Mattie Walker-Willis.
