JEFFREY HAYES ALLEN, 60, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Jefferson Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, following a battle with cancer.

Jeffrey was born on October 1, 1963, the son of Madison and Daisy Allen and was raised in the Mount Airy section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a student at Friends Select School for grades K-8 and graduated from Penn Center Academy in 1981. Jeffrey then attended Morehouse College and Temple University. After working for General Electric for several years, he created his own general contracting business, which specialized in renovations and remodeling.

Jeffrey was a very talented contractor and known for his gifts. According to one of his colleagues, "he was fair, very knowledgeable, a great problem solver, and very resourceful. All of his clients were loyal to him and would wait if he wasn't available".

Some of his favorite things were cooking and science-fiction films. Jeffrey was a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles fan who greatly enjoyed watching and attending games. He was a caringbut private person who was appreciated for his compassion for others.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Madison Crencha Allen, II and Daisy Jacques Allen.

He is survived by his partner, Lakeya Luddington; his sister, Jennifer (Dominique) Allen-Vrel; nephew, Theodore Madison; niece, Elizabeth Daisy; uncle, Willie Jacks of Houston, Texas; aunt, Alice Jacks of Southfield, Michigan; cousins, Anthony and Sharon Jacks of Fort Washington, Maryland; Deborah Thomas of Houston, Texas; Willa Gray of Houston, Texas; Sharon Kay Falls of Houston, Texas; Clinton Jacks of Southfield, Michigan; Wilhelma Garner-Brown of Baltimore, Maryland and Patricia Garner-Morris of San Antonio, Texas; and many other loving relatives and friends.
