Frances E.
Hackett
Jan 7, 1945 — Dec 29, 2023
FRANCES ELEANOR HACKETT, peacefully slept away from this life on Friday, December 29, 2023 at home, after a long illness.
Frances (also known as Fran/Franni) was born to the union of the late Frank and Sarah (Hudson) Richardson on January 7, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA. She matriculated through The School District of Philadelphia, graduating from William Penn High School in 1962. Fran was employed for many years at Sears Roebuck & Company. She then worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry from where she retired.
In 1964 she met her soulmate, Willie Hackett. They were united in holy matrimony on August 1, 1970. Together, they shared a lifetime of cherished moments. From this union, they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Tonika (Toni) and Danielle (Dani).
In 2007, Fran accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was in regular attendance until her health began to decline.
Fran shared a heartfelt bond with her grandchildren, Aubrey and William, who lovingly called her GiGi. Being surrounded by her grandkids brought Fran immense joy, creating fond memories that they will hold for a lifetime.
Fran enjoyed traveling; when the children were young, the family of four would take annual trips to places like Atlantic City, Wildwood and Virginia Beach. Later in life, Fran would cruise and luxuriate in the Caribbean & Europe with Bill and their friends. When she wasn't traveling, she enjoyed shopping for herself, her girls, and her grands. Fran also had a love for dancing, she could bop and cha-cha with the best of them. Kind, sweet, and loving as she was known to be, she would not tolerate foolishness from anyone. If you don't know, you better ask somebody!
Fran was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill, with whom she is now reunited. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Toni Hackett and Dani Tolbert (Dedan); grandchildren, Aubrey and William Tolbert. She is also survived by brother-in-law John Hackett, sister-in-law, Mary Hackett; nephews, Darren Hackett, Warren, David Jr, Harold, and Gregory Singleton; nieces Annie Hackett, Coretta Glover, Betty Goodwin, and Karisha Mitchell; and a host of relatives and devoted friends.
Fran's unwavering love and boundless spirit will echo through the lives she touched, a legacy of warmth, kindness, and everlasting affection.
Sorrowfully Submitted,
The Family
