On Thursday, June 17th Eyon Desmond Jones, loving husband and father of 2 children, transitioned to his heavenly home at the age of 54. Eyon was born on May 3rd, 1967 to the late Willie E. Jones and Dorothy Jones. He grew up in the neighborhoods of North Philadelphia. He received his education from the Philadelphia school system and graduated from Germantown High school. Eyon was very active in his high school choir and activities such as track, swimming and playing recreational basketball. He met the love of his life, Tonia Daniels in 1991 and the two married December 4, 1993. They enjoyed 27.5 years of marriage. Eyon had a great sense of humor; there was never a time where he didn't crack a joke or uplift someone's spirit that was down. He loved to sing and serenade his family and friends during get togethers. Anytime he was invited to karaoke, he was there. He was also a history buff, loved poetry and black and white movies. His favorite time of the year was Thanksgiving as he loved frying turkeys for himself, family and friends. In his later years of life he grew to love fishing. His children, Drew Anthony and Jasmine Ariel were the light of his eye. He always bragged about their accomplishments and talents. However, his granddaughter Bailey stole his heart. On June 15, 2021 his newest grandchild Noah was born. And by the grace God Eyon was able to meet Noah during a video phone call and Noah opened his eyes. He leaves behind to morn, his wife Tonia, daughter, Jasmine, Son, Drew, his grandchildren; Bailey, Noah and Jaylen. His Mother Dorothy, 5 sisters; Lillian, Syreeta, Dion, Kimberly, Irene, his Step mother, Juanita and a host of beloved relative and friends.
