EDWARD STANLEY was born on April 27th 1949 in Philadelphia Pa to Gertrude and Carl Stanley. Edward was one of two brothers Richard Stanley (Deceased) also the oldest Edward the youngest. Edward attended Philadelphia public schools.

During his working years he was a security officer and he also was employed at a nursing home where he took pride taking care of others.

Edward earned the name Bibliophile, for those who don't know: A person who collects or has a great love of books. He also loved music and playing the African drums with his best friend Philip Black. They were known to play downtown center city and Penn's Landing. Edward was soft spoken, intelligent and practical man who loved his parents and sacrificed his own life taking care of them. Even as Edwards health began to decline he always had a sense of humor and was in good spirits.

Edward was called to eternal rest on Saturday September 17th 2022.

He will be sadly missed. Left to mourn :Aunt Elizabeth Hampton. Very Special cousin Josephine & Oris Thomas, best friend Philip Black and a host of cousins and friends.
