Deborah
Gaither
Mar 10, 1958 — Feb 5, 2025
Deborah Gaither was born on a beautiful sunset day on March 10, 1958 to Nanis and Eurdine Gaither in Philadelphia, PA. Deborah was the 6th child of the union. She departed this life on February 5, 2025.
Deborah grew up in Philadelphia, PA. She attended the Philadelphia Public School system & received her diploma from West Philadelphia High.
Deborah, who was often referred to as "Foxy Deb" worked as a housekeeper in Quaker City for several years until she gave birth to a beautiful, loving baby girl, Keisha.
Deborah & Keisha enjoyed shopping and taking road trips together. Keisha became Debbie's best friend and her world becoming the backbone for one another. They would spend hours on the phone together or hosting sleepovers with the grandkids.
Debbie was full of joy. She loved and was very protective of her family. She enjoyed laughing, as well as singing and dancing to her favorite tunes. Debbie was known to be a sharp, witty, and no nonsense individual. She was quick to respond to you with an arsenal of words, holding no punches. Debbie loved to host family gatherings creating many memories for us to hold onto.
While dancing to the rhythm of life, in 1982 she met Charles who would become her life partner and love of her life. George and Weezie, Martin and Gina had nothing on this powerhouse couple. Out of this unbreakable bond, came a son, Little Charles also known as Uncle. Little Charles and Debbie became inseparable. When you saw one, you knew the other wasn't far behind. You would often hear Debbie say, "I have to ask Uncle." Debbie lived life on her terms, and fought to the very end. No illness could hinder her. She was very independent and would be quick to tell you, "don't start that crying around me. We can pray, but don't boo hoo for me." Through all of her trials and sickness, Debbie kept her faith and affirmed her belief in GOD.
Our beloved Deborah heard a voice on February 5, 2025. Only Deborah recognized that voice and walked towards the calling of her name coming from heavens above. She accepted her heavenly calling to enjoy eternal everlasting life in the paradise of heaven.
Preceding Deborah in death was her grandmother Loraine Tucker, her father Nanis Gaither, mother Eurdine Gaither, her elder sisters Rena, Diane, & Monica. Her brother, Howard and her grandson Jabril Gaither.
She leaves to cherish the love of her life Charles Berry, daughter Keisha, son Charles, four granddaughters Carlesha, Brettany, Keishanna, and Brianna, and one great grandson Elijah.
Her sisters: Geraldine, Gloria, Freda, Dolly
Her brothers: Nanis and Michael and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, bonus grandchildren, and friends.
Sorrowfully Submitted,
The Family
