Obituary

Creadell Forrest Webb was born May 31, 1940 to the late William and Lula Webb in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the second youngest of 15 siblings (11 of whom preceded him in death) Susie, Theodore, Ruby, Rudene, Jerome, William, Jr., Melvin, Bernard, Sonobia, Libby, and Bruce.

Creadell, affectionately called "Bill" by his business associates, was raised in West Philadelphia, where he was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. He was an entrepreneur at heart, and had his first job at eight years old. After the 10th grade, Creadell's entrepreneurial spirit called him to join the family business.

In 1959, Creadell married his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Blanche Oglesby Webb, who preceded him in death. From this union, they were blessed with three children: Charmayne, Libby, and Nwah. Their marriage was marked by love and companionship, and they cherished their time together at family events including going to the movies, amusement parks, concerts, and fine dining.

Creadell was also blessed with three additional daughters: Veronica Harrison, Reena Wicker, and Niesha Rykard.

A man of diverse interests, Creadell enjoyed attending professional boxing matches, outings at the casinos, and card games with friends. He was a man with many talents and a strong work ethic. He often took on home and property projects, proudly completing many of the tasks on his own.

In later years, Creadell took great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren. He made it a point to be the first to call each of them on their birthdays and welcoming in the "New Year."

After a brief illness, Creadell experienced his transition on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 surrounded by family and his loyal fiancée Karen. He leaves a legacy of love and dedication to: his daughters Charmayne Harris (Darrell), and Libby Hughes (Paris); son, Nwah; sister Iduma Bass; brothers Tyrone Webb and Lowell Webb; twenty-two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and his faithful fiancée Karen.
