CAROLYN LOUISE PARRISH first born child to Emma Louise and Walter Phillip Parrish, Sr. Carol was born on March 9, 1949 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Her mother, father, and only brother proceeded her in death.

Educated in the Philadelphia School system graduating Gideon, Vaux, and William Penn schools. She furthered her education holding a bachelor's degree from Arcadia University. She also completed several biblical courses from Christian Stronghold Baptist Church.

Carol grew up on 1700 block of Bambrey Street and later moved to Upper Darby and then to Montgomery County.

Carol met many friends wherever she lived and worshipped.

Carol was employed with Verizon (formerly Bell Atlantic) as a long distance operator until retirement in 1991.

Carol enjoyed line dancing, crocheting, and was an avid bowler, receiving numerous trophies, which we attributed this accomplishment to her being left handed. She also had a beautiful and flawless handwriting.

Carol was not gifted in cooking but eating was her forte and delight.

Her Christian upbringing as a child receiving Jesus Christ as her personal savior began at Wayland Temple Baptist Church and continued to Faith Tabernacle Church, Christian Stronghold Baptist Church and her current church Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. She enjoyed the services and ministry of Pastor Waller and most of all singing on the choir was the excitement and comfort she cherished.

Singing the Messiah during Christmas season was a yearly tradition. She delightfully performed the soprano voice alongside her mother Emma and daughter Rachael at Thankful Baptist church. She also performed the Messiah yearly with her daughter and sister Phyllis at Tindley Temple United Methodist Church. She was an original member of The Reunion Choir of Philadelphia.

Carol loved and collected lighthouses. She enjoyed traveling and line dancing.

Carol was a member of the Allegheny senior center where she enjoyed various activities.

Carol was married to Frank Scott.

We cherish the loss of a warm, intelligent, quick wit, humorous special lady.

Dementia robbed her quickly of all those things that made her so special and she enjoyed doing. No one deserves to have this horrible disease. During her last year her sister was her fountain of encouragement and champion for the cause. We visited what felt like every neurologistfrom center city to Montgomery County in search of a cure while receiving the best care possible.

To cherish her memory are Frank Scott, her daughter Rachael, and Cleo, Rachael's father, her sister Phyllis, granddaughter Logan, and the delight of her life great grandson Brave, niece Joy, nephews Bardre, Walter, Pawl, son-in-law Joc, her chauffeur Henry, cousin Naomi from Rhode Island, first cousins from Alabama and Georgia and a bevy of relatives and friends, and members of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church and High Street Church of God, church without walls.
