BETTY ANN BLACK was peacefully at home when she went to her Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2022.
Betty was born on November 5, 1944 in Highpoint, NC to the late James Jeter and Marie Roseboro. Betty's siblings included the late Pauline, Creola, Marie, and Nate. Betty attended schools in Philadelphia.
As an adult Betty was employed with the Philadelphia School Board as an NTA.
Betty married the late James E. Black Sr. on April 4, 1964. Together, Betty and James had five children by the names of Angela (preceded her in death), Amy, Carol, James Jr. and Dawn. Betty has four grandchildren by the names of Christina Black-Pleasant, William Nearn Jr. LaTasha Black, and Isaiah Daniels. Betty has three great grandchildren by the names of Ameesha Harrison, Ayanna Harrison and Sahar Smithson. She also has two great great grandchildren by the names of Izeen and Ahzir Wright. Betty's favorite flower were Poinsettias which were often given to her every Christmas by her daughter in law Jeanean. Betty loved taking pictures of her children and grandchildren and has several photograph books with beautiful memories we have of her. Betty also enjoyed listening and dancing to her favorite oldies.
Besides children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, Betty also had several nieces and nephews that she sadly leaves behind.
Although this has been an unfortunate event that the family has to endure, the memory of our beautiful mother, grandmother, and aunt will forever live in our hearts.
