The Obituary

Bernice Love was born August 20, 1939 in Como, Mississippi to the late William Love Sr. and the late Mary Bowers Love.

She was educated in the Memphis, Tennessee Public School System, graduated Greeter High School in 1959. She received Christ at an early age and was baptized in Memphis, Tennessee.

Bernice moved to Philadelphia, PA in 1968, and was a long time resident of West Philadelphia. She worked at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in the Food Service Department for 35 years.

She became a member of First Corinthian Baptist Church and Sunday school in 1995 and continued to be an active member working in the church pantry and Saturday morning breakfast ministry.

Bernice was preceded in death by both of her parents William Sr. and Mary Love; four brothers, Robert Love Sr., William Love Jr. , Raymond Love, Frank Love and his wife, Mary; one sister, Dorothy A. Love.

She leaves to mourn: three sisters, Edith Howard, Barbara J. Love and Helen L. Love; brother, Eugene C. Love (JoAnn); two sisters-in-law, Ora L. Love and Yvonne Love; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
