Obituary

Annette Lampkin entered into God's care on Saturday, June 19, 2021. She was the six child out of nine children born to the late Walter and Gertrude (Polite) Warren in Live Oak, Florida on October 22, 1929. Annette was educated in the public school system of Live Oak, Florida. After relocating to Philadelphia she united with Star Hope Baptist Church, she was a faithful member for over fifty years. Mother Lampkin as she was known by her church family served on the usher board and Senior Choir. Annette retired from Penn Medicine (Pennsylvania Hospital) after twenty-six years of service. She enjoyed traveling and went everywhere she wanted to go. She loved and was devoted to her family; we had several very successful reunions under her leadership as president of the Warren Family Reunion. Annette had a warm, fun-loving spirit very easy to talk to; the family will surely miss her. Annette is predeceased by her son, Earl J. Clark, her daughter, Betty Warren, and her siblings, Clarence, Joseph, Isiah, Walter, Erving Warren, Lenore Palmer, and Julia Warren. Annette leaves to cherish her memory: her two sons, Eddie (Winona) Burns, Moreno Valley, CA., Schnorris (Sheila) Burns, Norfolk, VA.; one sister, Edith Warren, Philadelphia, PA; eight grandchildren, Denise (Saboor) Warren, Camden, NJ, Angie Clark, Lisa Clark, Atlanta, GA., Troy (Julie) Branch, Lincoln, NE., Nichole (Terry) Hayes, Andre Hinton, Schnorris (Serinah) Burns, and Lorant Carter all of Philadelphia, PA.; fourteen great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
