Alonzo Hughes, Sr. was born on August 28, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA, to William Hughes, Sr. and Corine Gill. A skilled craftsman, Alonzo spent the majority of his working years as a self-employed carpenter, building a career rooted in dedication, precision, and pride in a job well done.

Through his trade, Alonzo built more than structures — he built a legacy of hard work and self-reliance that will be remembered by all who knew him.

He passed away on June 12, 2026, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
