Obituary

Alleene Fawn Perry was born on December 16, 1949. She passed away quietly on September 14, 2025. She was raised by her parents, Allan and Dorothy Perry.

She has three siblings, Ernest, Yvonne and Ln Perry; two sons, Ché, (father, Ronald Fields), and Duane, (father, Robert Taylor, deceased); five grandchildren, Cherise, Ché Jr., Deja, Liiam, and Layla Perry; five great-grandchildren, Josaiah Carn, Riley Perry, MaKayiah Perry, Logon Perry and Jayla Ross Johnson.

Alleene attended Philadelphia Public Schools and graduated from William Penn High School in 1967.

She also attended Jackson Hewitt Tax Program and Lincoln Tech where she advanced her math skills. Her work ethic extended from Spiegel's Department Store, the IRS, the VA, and the post office. Her first retirement, and RTI where she officially retired for the second time.

Being on these jobs, she played team sports including bowling, softball, and received numerous awards. Still not ready to throw in the towel, she took on new challenges such as manager of CC's School of Dance Art for her granddaughter, Cherise. She enjoyed family events where she was always active with children helping them to become productive citizens in their communities.

Her hobbies were crocheting, cooking large meals for special occasions, family reunions, casinos, bingo, cards, and road trips. She was very active in wanting to improve the neighborhood and working to find solutions to rebuild Cecil B. Moore Recreation Center. She was a judge for the Philadelphia More Beautiful Committee annual clean block contest. Becoming a sports mom, very fierce. Her duties were taking children to and from practices, attending all games, part-time cheerleader, working concessions to raise money for equipment, oh yeah, always challenging the referees on their bogus calls.

But her biggest and most special thing was being a groupie with her friends traveling many states to see performances by the Temptations, which followed meet-and-greet sessions. Oh goodness, she really loved it.

She is survived by: her two sons, Ché Perry and Duane Perry; sister, Ln Perry; five grandchildren, Cherise, Ché Jr., Deja, Liiam, and Layla Perry; five great-grands, Josaiah Carn, Riley Perry, MaKayiah Perry, Logon Perry, and Jayla Ross Johnson; niece, Sharon Douglas; two nephews, Darryl and Frank Robinson Jr.; and a host of cousins and very close friends.
