Obituary

ETHEL BROWN was born on February 21, 1929 to the late Ethel Alexander and William Brown in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the fifth of six children.
Early Friday morning, June 29, 2018 the Lord called Ethel to her eternal home.
Ethel received her formal education in the Philadelphia Public School System. Ethel went on to receive her certificate from APEX Hair of Beauty School and her license from the State Board of Cosmetology. She also has worked at several other companies in her lifetime.
Ethel accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Central Baptist Church under the Reverend Augustus A. Habershaw. She later converted to Catholicism where she was a faithful member and belonged to the Ladies Knights of Peter Claver at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church.
Ethel was united in marriage to Elmer (Gene) Lynn for 46 years.
Ethel resided at the Willow Terrace Nursing Facility for many years with an excellent staff.
Ethel was a kind open hearted person she was always lending a helping hand wherever needed. She loved her life and enjoyed herself and loved the Brown’s Family Reunion and traveling.
She shared her warmth and wisdom with all her family and friends.
Her sister Thelma, brothers Joe Boy, James, William, Samuel and nephew Leonard Sr. all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Elmer (Gene), niece Charlotte (Louise), great nephew David, Leonard Jr, Simmie, Nate and Raymond and great nieces Denise, Evette and Yvonne and many great great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
