Obituary

Carlene was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
on July 7, 1941 to the late Lyda Mae Wyche and
Wallace William Wyche II. She was the
youngest of three children. She battled breast cancer
for well over 40 years along with other ailments that came
later in her life.
Carlene fought a great fight; kept her faith and the angel
of God said to her “Come take your rest” on June 23, 2018 at
Abington Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania. “My flesh and
my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my
portion Forever”. Psalm 73:26
Carlene received her education in the Philadelphia
Public school system. She was united in Holy matrimony to
Bernard Redd out of that union came two loving children,
Carlton Redd and Bernessa Redd. Later in life she met her
long life companion William Ricks who preceded her in
death.
Carlene was a loving and caring person who was big on
family and family values. She loved family gatherings. She
was extremely proud of her grandchildren, and she loved
“Life” to the fullest. She would always say “I’m not the girl I
use to be” But she fought her illness until the end.
Carlene loved playing cards “Pinochle” was her game of
choice. She also enjoyed visiting the casinos and eating at
good Restaurants to get a great cup of hot coffee.
